Weekly Recap: Life

Morning music therapy:

This week has been very busy for me, changes and meetings all week long. A little stressful but I have plenty of projects to start working on to help unwind. My first project updating my home office and update one room at a time which I most likely start with my living room.

Purple has never really been a favorite color of mine but lately I have been thinking of purple for my office. Now in the living room I want to go with something very summer like but easy for me to change for autumn/winter.

So my Saturday morning today has been breakfast

and online shopping or getting ideas for my project. I have been very slow on getting started with my makeovers but this morning while enjoying my breakfast I just decided to get things moving by placing my first order and once you get started doing that you have to get the matching pieces to go with the items you have visioned in your head. So I have officially began this journey.

My vision for my office will be my favorite project. I was able to purchase a few items off my list for my office makeover but here are a few other ideas I have in mind:

However I do love this color also so I may do a mix of both in my office

Still searching for ideas, for my living room, will be very careful with this update because this is where I do a lot of entertaining so I want things comfy but stylish and easy on the wallet, lol.

This week has been heavy for me and especially the world, we lost two great people this, Kate Spade & Anthony Bourdain. When things like this happen I always reflect on myself and constantly check on my friends and loved one’s more than ever.

I saw a lot of judgements being made about these two and how they died. So I will share this tweet first then speak further about the things I saw online yesterday

The thing I saw from christians were disgusting sending people to hell via Facebook & Twitter. I really hate if anyone in their family or home would have to endure these people and their thoughts. I heard the most dumb things in the office this week regarding suicide and trying to educate people about this, but people have this in their head and nothing will change. Mental health is real out folks and it is time we educate ourselves and others about it.

“Depressed people are not attention seekers. They’d put on a mask to hide their pain and suffer in silence. People who commit suicide aren’t selfish. It’s a mental health issue where they feel like things would be better off without them and they don’t wanna burden anyone anymore.”

“Some days, 24 hours is too much to stay put in, so I take the day hour by hour, moment by moment.”

Friendly reminder that it’s okay to disconnect from social media for mental health purposes.

Ask, talk, tell.

You matter. Mental Health Awareness. Be Aware

“Travel isn’t always pretty. It isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart. But that’s okay. The journey changes you; it should change you… You take something with you. Hopefully, you leave something good behind.” — Anthony Bourdain
